The Best Look?

I have to admit that my three favorites styles from the Try Different Looks option on the Side Menu are:

  1. Kanata- the default used on the site.  It is clean, easy to read and light weight in terms of processing speed.
  2. Lightword- because of its clean display, crisp lines, and elegant flow.
  3. Blackboard- because of its very interesting drop-down menus on the top banner and casual feel.

Using this demo

This demo site offers the following demonstration features:

  • Try Different Looks- this demo only  feature offers a drop-down for viewers to experiment with this demo site by using different layouts (themes).  Simply select one from the drop-down menu, wait a bit and the site will transform into a new look. You may view as many themes as you wish.  The site will be reset once you leave.  The purpose of this function is to give our readers an opportunity to see the variety of options available for their site.  Be aware your options are not limited to the themes we have here; there are thousands of options available! If you are interested in my view of the Best Look you may read my post on the subject.
  • Go from page to page, post to post to see the mix of text, media that can be used.
  • Select the “Family Tree” page to see one option for incorporating standard GEDCOM files into a site like this.  There are, of course, many other options available beyond the one we have demonstrated here.
